Press steel radiators are used in both Power Transformers and Distribution Transformers.
The cooling sections are made from 1.0MM and 1.2MM thick CRCA steel strips of drawing quality,
in widths of 226MM, 300MM, 380MM and 520MM. Each radiator is built from multiple sections spaced
at 50MM, 60MM and 65MM centers. The number of sections is determined by transformer manufacturers
based on heat dissipation requirements and allowable maximum oil temperature rise.
Radiators typically include 3 to 40 sections, and larger radiators can be produced based on
specific design requirements.
